The Pyrus calleryana ‘Chanticleer’, known as ornamental pear, is highly resistant to air pollution. Therefore an ideal tree for city or locations with lots of emission. The ornamental pear is characterized by an exuberant (white) blooming and a beautiful autumnal color in yellow and red tones. Another pleasant advantage is that the glossy green leaves remain long at the tree into the autumn.
The ornamental pear is very popular as espalier.
